I dont think of politicians as being heros, when they try and get elected all the mudslinging has me wishing I could vote for Daffy Duck
Jayne, I really like the setting of your SF novels. The imagination is great. The interaction and dialogue between your characters really makes me want to go back to read and re-read.

Marsha, you have hit the nail on the head about Jayne's books. The heroines have a brain and don't just give up and have a Big Misunderstanding for 200 pages. With another author Woman's Touch would have had the couple not speaking for pages and pages. Ugh!

I have always thought a strong man needed a strong woman and wasn't intimidated by a woman with a brain. My favorite though I think is Gideon and Harriet--to watch that poor man blossom and live again is wonderful. I could just see her attacking someone in the ball room to defend her man -- wonderful.

the problem with not having any conflict between hero and heroine is that there's no story. All fiction is based on some sort of conflict. Without it, there's no story
