Romance In My Life
have been an avid romance reader for around fifteen years. I
started reading romance when I joined a book club through the mail. I
fell in love, so to speak, with the idea of reading romance. I like to read
romance because it helps me to relax and unwind after a hard stressful
day. Sitting back with a good romance is my idea of heaven. When I read
a romance, I can travel to any exotic place and be with the sexiest hero
without ever leaving my house. It's a great way to fantasize without regret.
People who don't read romance look at you differently when they discover that you do. They ask questions like "How can you read that garbage?" or "Those books are about nothing but sex." I just look at them and say "If it's a good story with wonderful characters and exciting places then I enjoy reading it. If its storyline is good then the sex is not on every single page and the pages that it is on are written tastefully and tantalize the senses." Romance stories are part of my life because I love to read and become a part of the hero and heroines struggles to come together and to stay that way. Some stories bring laughter to me and some bring a warm, content feeling to me. But whatever the book, I know without a doubt that I am going to be transported to a beautiful and exotic site where romance is in the air.
I do have my favorite authors such as Jayne Ann Krentz, Dara Joy, Nora Roberts, Sharon Sala and Cait London to name a few. When I pick up a book by these authors I know I am going to enjoy the book and love the characters. If you have never read a romance then pick one up and read it. See if it doesn't take you away to exotic places and pull you into the struggle of the hero and heroine.
