Very unique?

I was re-reading Smoke in Mirrors for the 2nd time (1st time for the wonderful romance and mystery, 2nd time to savor the descriptions of higher ed of which I am a part). I noticed that Leonora described the Mirror House collection as 'very unique' (page 75) - not a mistake I think a librarian would make?
