As a reader you would like to read a book that is funny, romantic, and exciting book. Good news, this book has it all.

Iphiginia Bright's aunt Zoe is being blackmailed. She loves her aunt very much, so she jumped to the rescue. The only clues Iphiginia has is that the blackmailer uses black wax and a seal engraved with a phoenix. Iphiginia believes that the blackmailer has also blackmailed the Earl of Masters. She schemed to pass herself off as his mistress. As the Earl had recently died (so she believes) no one would know that she was not really his mistress. It was quite a shock to find him still alive, returned from his estate from Yorkshire.

Of course he does not believe in a word she says. He assumed she just wanted to get into the 'Polite Society.' But the Earl finds Iphiginia attractive, so he doesn't really care if they call her his mistress. Iphiginia with her dark honey coloured hair and seagreen eyes. She is petite and slim. If I were a male, I would be attracted to her. However, he doesn't blow her cover either, because he thinks the story quite amusing.

Earl of Masters soon finds out she is not lying, when he discovers a friend is also being blackmailed.

Everyone knows the famous rules of the Earl of Masters. For example, "Never get involved with virgins or other men's wives." He breaks that rule and all of his other famous rules and it's all because of Iphiginia Bright.

I recommend you to read this funny, romantic and exciting book.
